11. Findings
There is need to edge farmers’ investments against catastrophes through insurance
Less is known about agriculture insurance
Training/capacity building is basic and influences success of agriculture insurance
Area yield index approach is practical, easy to explain and can be replicated in different areas, and for different crops
Bundling insurance, inputs and training on agronomic practices increases adoption rate, hence better yields and increased ]
Partners should work together to establish demonstration plots for training purposes
Simplify and intensify on insurance to farmers
