2 LSCB Young Advisors There are 22 LSCB YA’s. Ages range from We are from across the city, the majority of YAs are in education however some are in employment.

3 What the LCEP wanted from us…
The LCEP asked us to find out how young people across the city felt about arts and cultural activities including specifically: What young people consider art and cultural activities and what are art and cultural activities are they interested in What barriers young people face when they are trying to engage with art and cultural activities and what support is needed How young people find out about art and cultural activities How young people feel about art and culture

Issues: Practical Barriers: Disengagement: Loss of interest (13%) Travel issues (13%) Cuts to service (13%) Nothing (29%) Cost (11%) Bad timings/other commitments (11%) Problems with people in the activity (11%) Cost (33%) Transport (32%) None (18%) Bad thing/Not enough time (8%) Disengagement is out of the 31 people who did disengage 33% disengaged The precentages is out of the 33% who disengaged

Safe environment for everyone Deal with discrimination Carpool for people who cant afford to travel Venues being accessible Give young people the chance to explore new things to keep them interested Taster sessions of different activities Messaging or ing young people to remind them
