$1.055 billion held in endowments as of March 31, 2016 $43 million in endowment gifts in first 9 months of FY15-16 Compares to $43 million in endowment gifts for 12 months of FY14-15 2,463 distinct endowment funds, ranging in size from $25,000 to $20 million Endowment distributions of $52 million transferred to CU in FY14-15 Current distribution formula is the greater of 4.5% of an endowment fund’s trailing 36-month average market value or 4% of the fund’s current market value

$89 million in current gifts received in FY 14-15 $88 million in current gifts received so far in the first nine months of FY15-16 $57 million in current gift funds transferred to CU in FY14-15 Whenever possible, philanthropic gifts are given to the Foundation through a “single portal of giving” focus

11 Unrestricted Net Assets (UNA)
UNA balance is $54 million at March 31, 2016 Of this balance, $38 million is designated and $16 million is undesignated Foundation Board of Directors periodically receives requests for UNA allocations from the University President Recent allocations include: CU Denver North Classroom Building = $12 million UCCS North Nevada Avenue Infrastructure = $3 million CU Anschutz Gates Center = $3 million CU Boulder BioFrontiers = $2.2 million
