7 Supervision What does supervision look like?
Time, structure, contract, goals Who is a qualified supervisor? LSW? LCSW? CCS? LCADC? Certificates? Supervisor Talk, listen or both? Experience – in work and supervision

8 Presentations Power point suggestions: Presentation suggestions:
stick with a white background; if you must use a colored background, use a very light blue or green use colored letters (black if you are using a colored background) and include at least 1 picture per slide – the mind remembers better when it can associate a picture don’t put too much information on slides – use them as an outline avoid complex graphs and maps (especially if the fonts explaining them are too small) some data is important though, and a simple graph or bar chart is often a good idea 4 to 6 slides for this presentation Presentation suggestions: mind your speed, tone (vary it), and volume (many of people speak too softly) eye contact don’t read off slides (hence using them as just an outline) avoid “um” and “you know” use an anecdote to push an emotional angle (and several in a longer presentations)
