16. Isaac Asimov (January 2, 1920 – April 6, 1992)
Isaac Asimov was an American author (born in Russia) and professor of biochemistry at Boston University, best known for his works of science fiction and for his popular science books.
This writer was one of the most prolific writers of all time, having written or edited more than 500 books.
Asimov coined the word robotics into the English language. The Russian equivalent is «робототехника».
His work «I, Robot» (1950) made him famous all over the world. His robots are helpers of people, sometimes they are cleverer and more human than their owners.
