1 Community Development Outcome Indicators

2 Concept and Purpose Framework for community development organizations, including public agencies interested in community development, for decision making.  Decisions on strategies, investments and policy making.  Can be used in Advocacy as well Hopefully adopted by the State (similar to the 8 results for Kids)

3 Concept and Purpose (con’t)
NOT performance measures, like number of houses built or roads paved, we are thinking of outcome indicators that talk about the results of community development work on overall quality of life in communities

4 Concept and Purpose (con’t) (adapted from JCCI’s Community Snapshot)
In other words, our indicators can be the data or information that provides insight into the trends in a community, over time. Together, the collection of community indicators tells the story about where a community is in relation to its vision and the direction in which the community is heading.  Then our organizations and agencies can make decisions and investments to move the indicators in the direction we all collectively want them to head. (adapted from JCCI’s Community Snapshot)
