1 “Make & Take” Rain Barrel Workshop
SATURDAY, JULY 25, 2015 9:00 To 11:00 at Manalapan Recreation Center, 120 County Rd 522 in Dreyer Field Pavilion Near the New Splash Park A rain barrel is placed under a gutter’s downspout next to a house to collect rain water from the roof. The barrel holds about 50 gallons of water which can be used to water your lawn, flowers, shrubs, and trees. Collecting rainwater can save money on your water bill, conserve water, and help to prevent basement flooding. By collecting rainwater, homeowners are also helping to reduce flooding and pollution in local waterways. Participants will be shown step by step how to assemble their own rain barrel and install it at home. COST: $55 per Barrel Includes rain barrel and all hardware.
