Can you guess what this is?

5 pens? Camera pens? Still no Idea? Well hers a clue, this 5 pen is your future PC and laptop.

5 pens = computer The P-ISM (Pen-style Personal Networking Gadget Package) consists of a package of 5 pens that all have unique functions, combining together to create a virtual computing experience. This is only a prototype under developing stage by Tokyo-based NEC Corporation. At the 2003 ITU Telecom World exhibition held in Geneva, the NEC corporation displayed a conceptual $30,000 prototype of a P-ISM design.

Computer affects our life in a much bigger way then most of us might imagine. The first computer invented was the ENIAC in 1943 which was the same size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern PCs. Modern computers which are based on integrated circuits are small enough to fit into our mobile devices. The P-ISM system was based on low-cost electronic perception technology, which is a single-chip imagining technology that enables electronic components to form a 3-D map of their surroundings and see what their users are doing. One of the first applications is the virtual keyboard and second the monitor.

Monitor The role of the monitor is taken by the LED projector. LED projectors use LCD technologies for image creation with a difference as they use an array of Light Emitting Diodes as the light source, negating the need for lamp replacement. Also it would not need as much energy to used and with a longer lifetime. The size of the screen is approximately 1024 × 768 px which is a size of an A4 paper.

conclusion I think there is places for this in the market but the question is are we ready to replace our laptops for 5 pens just yet? Presentation
