1 Respect for Others

2 The Bible says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made

3 Your nose can remember 50,000 different scents.

4 An adult human being is made up of around 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms.

5 A human baby has over 60 more bones than an adult.
Human Bones are  ounce for ounce, stronger than steel.

6 Your body has enough iron in it to make a metal nail 3 inches long.

7 Ears and Nose never stop growing.

8 When awake, the human brain produces enough electricity to power a small light bulb.

9 The human eye can distinguish about 10 million different colours.

10 God loves each one of us with an everlasting love.

11 Each one of us is unique and special, so we should value ourselves and others.

12 Here are some examples of people showing respect to other people and animals by being kind to them.

13 Instead of running past her, Vogel put McMath's arm around her
17-year-old Meghan Vogel caught up with competitor Arden McMath, whose body was giving out. Instead of running past her, Vogel put McMath's arm around her shoulders, carried her 30 meters, and then pushed her over the finish line before crossing it.

14 A tourist gives his shoes to a girl in Brazil.

15 A fireman rescues a cat from a fire

16 and gives it oxygen

17 A generous offer to people in need.

18 A Guatemalan girl and a tourist she just met.

19 Two best friends on a swing

20 Jesus says that what we do for others we do for Him.
35 I was hungry, and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your house. 36 I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ 37 “Then the good people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink?38 When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our house? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear?39 When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?’ 40 “Then the King will answer, ‘I tell you the truth. Anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.’

21 Reflection Think about a time when someone was kind to you. How did it make you feel? Think of a person you could help or be kind to. What could you do to help them this week?

22 Prayer Lord Jesus, thank you for the way you respect each one of us and treat us with great kindness. Help us to respect everyone and to be kind to everyone we meet. Amen
