PRESENTATIONS Asking students to do presentations is another form of alternative assessment. If based on students’ needs, interests and real-life, presentations will be a motivating and engaging task for students.

9 ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT METHODS
EXHIBITIONS Exhibitions could take the form of audio-visual displays such as posters, bulletin boards, newsletters, school magazines, essays, poems, (picture) stories, and web publishing. Exhibitions are useful means of promoting student work in an environment open to public, and could be organized by students individually or in groups.

10 OBSERVATIONS

11 INTERVIEWS In this kind of alternative assessment students are asked to interview an English speaking person, and report the outcome in a video format, an oral presentation format or in written format.

12 PEER-ASSESSMENT Peer-assessment is “assessment of a student’s work, products, or learning processes by classmates” (O’Malley and Perce, 1996, p. 239)
