♦ Started off with ONLY 39 dance partners – Today there are 708!
♦ 1973 they raised $2000
♦ Last year THON raised around $7.8 million
♦ This year we raised $9.5 million dollars!

8. THON would NEVER be possible if it weren’t for all of the student volunteers!

9. How many people are Involved in THON?
As of last year there were approximately 15,000 volunteers and 700 dancers that took part in the two day dance marathon.

10. Like a business?
“We’ve developed positions, removed positions, expanded our number of volunteers and participants,” said Caitlin Zankowski.

11. Michael Nilsen also said, “To get a lot of college students to run what is essentially a small corporation is really outstanding.”

12. Even though THON has over 15,000 volunteers they have to work yearlong to raise all the money they do.
