Continuing technical evolution Complex and challenging as children rapidly take up the opportunities of internet use. According to research use of tablets has tripled this year, becoming the device of choice for 8-11s to access audio visual content and games in particular. Over six in ten 12-15s now own a smartphone and it is the most popular device for social networking among that age group.
