1 26th DURING THE YEAR Cycle B
SUNDAY Listening to “Become Jerusalem" by Narcís Casanovas, let us feel Church "holy and sinful”

2 SERMON on the Church Mk 9:33-50
1st part of the sermon, in Capernaum: 1- A SERVANT Church (Last Sunday) 2- Without BORDERS (Today) 3- Cordially welcoming (Today) 4- Without keeping away the “small” (Today) 5- With a radical DONATION (Today) Capernaum complex (Catholic and Orthodox)

3 Catholic Church on Peter's house, and the remains of Capernaum
Together we are Church

4 Mk 9: John said to him, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us."

5 Different, but not confronted
Only TOGETHER we will make a better world Pictures of the Orthodox Church in Capernaum Do not click Different, but not confronted CHRISTIANS

6 But Jesus said, "Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me.

7 Love is the great "miracle" that the world expects from the church today
Without rivalries, or estrangement, they have to be able to say as in time of the 1st Christians: «See how they love one another» (Tertullian)

8 For the one who is not against us is for us.

9 The CHURCH cannot be against anyone
Is stronger Christ that unites us as people, that what may separate us

10 For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.

11 We cannot solve the big problems, but small gestures, such as giving a glass of water, or look with sympathy, are available to all Jesus before the storm In difficult times, such as Europe's happening, we cannot stop time, but we could have humanitarian feelings towards our brothers Click:

12 "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

13 Jesus heals the girl of Jairus
The small ones are image of God that "being rich, became a beggar" (Gregory Nazanzius) Abandoning them is like committing suicide, like putting a stone on the neck and jump into the sea

14 And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off
And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, 'where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.'

15 If we are not demanding, our life will fall into the abyss
Before the mystery of fraternal relations we have to be radical, "cut off the hands or feet," Jesus says Doors that cover the Mystery (Iconostasi) If we are not demanding, our life will fall into the abyss

16 Lord, grant us to be radical to the needs of others, to become a COMMUNITY according to the Gospel
