Line of Best Fit Objective: To learn to write an equation for the line of best fit for a set of data and use it to make predictions. scatter plot – a graph that relates two different sets of data. Displayed as ordered pairs. correlation – describes the strength of a relationship between two variables. trend line – a line on a scatter plot drawn near points that show correlation. line of best fit – the most accurate of the trend lines.
