2. What is available ? English Language training for foreign workers
The short answers are (i) loads and (ii) probably anything you want ! Examples include:
English Language training for foreign workers
Leadership and Management training
Bespoke short courses
Courses delivered / managed by the third sector
Specialised workforce development programmes

3. English / L&M / Bespoke
Some of the training providers within our network still offer accredited and non-accredited English language courses for foreign workers
All of our local Colleges offer Leadership and Management training. Most (if not all) will tailor provision to employer needs on request
Some smaller providers in our network will offer specialist short course inputs on (i) Assertiveness, (ii) Resilience, (iii) Time Management, Confidence Buliding, (iv) Emotional Intelligence and (v) other stuff!

4. Courses from the 3rd Sector
Many of the third sector organisations in Lincs offer non accredited courses. Much of it is for unemployed but some provision is available to PS workers
Involving Lincs have successfully co-ordinated multi agency partnership bids to the Big Lottery/ESF funded Building Better Opportunities programme for Greater Lincolnshire. This has secured around £4m of ESF funding currently delivering four projects supporting people further from the labour market through employability support and training and learning opportunities. The projects are delivered locally by around 40 delivery partners including charities, colleges, universities and training providers

5. Specialised Development Programmes
Although necessarily non qual courses many of our training providers offer short course vocational training – e.g.
First Aid
Food Hygiene
Health and Safety
Manual Handling
Safeguarding
… and much much more ….

6. The Short Story …..
As a member of the Compact you have access to a Lincs wide training provider network. All 4 Colleges are member orgs, both Universities are member orgs and most of the larger private training orgs are members. So if you have a specific need for non qualification training for your workforce why not access the benefits of Compact membership and go through the facilitator?
