Challenge- Qualcomm lacked a self-service information delivery model for business users to have instant access to information to assemble personalized dashboards or portal based applications that host ever-changing departmental data
Solution- Qualcomm selected JackBe's Presto to provide the means for users to discover, create and distribute Apps through a secure Enterprise App Store.

Challenge- Recovery.gov was created to make data available for public use and presented in a way that informs rather than overwhelms people.
Solution- JackBe's Presto was used to create the State Data Summary Widget, which allows users to personalize a portable App that shows an overview of data reported by prime and sub-recipients of Recovery Act funds in their local area including congressional district, county and state.

14. The Pervasive Human Resources Portal
Challenge- Dell’s Human Resources was tasked to rewrite their HR systems for their employees and for the HR staff. They needed to rapidly connect Peoplesoft, Oracle OBIEE, Taleo, SharePoint, and other internal and SaaS systems, as well as external networking sources such as FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Solution- Dell was able to connect all of their disparate sources of data without integration - combining data on the fly in real-time. They would be able to surface Apps in Peoplesoft (as portlets) and SharePoint (as WebParts) with no additional effort.

Faster Time-to-Decision: Information is delivered to the business in hours or days, instead of weeks or months.
Fresher Information: Information that is surfaced for business action and decision-making is live, not a stale copy.
Situational Context: The business is able to do 80% of the work themselves, reducing their dependency on IT and eliminating ‘translation’ issues.
Less Time- Apps are delivered to the business in 1-2 days vs. 2-4 months.
·         Example- pull in stats from Qlikview stating 40% of their implementations are deployed in 2-4 months, vs. examples of what we can do in days. We don’t have an average time to deploy Presto stat but we can talk about specific examples where Apps have been built and deployed in days.
·         Here’s a quote from GE that can be applied to help measure ROI in time not dollars: A request came in from one of the CIO’s for an additional app/view and she commented: ‘I was able to send a last minute requirement to my developer and they had the App built and deployed in less than 24 hours’  Normally, this would have taken them several weeks due to all the politics and policies GE has in place for their BI environment.

·         Example- Mindshift is a good example of how Javier was able to work with one of their developers over a weekend to register spreadsheets, SharePoint lists and databases to build a complete out of the box dashboard that they want to use internally and also reuse for partners and customers. If you fan out the value of Presto in those situations, the percentages would certainly lean to the user side.  
Real-time Insight- Live information surfaced for immediate business action/decision making
·         Example- Anheuser Busch teams of people collecting information from disparate systems, information assembled in excel and then translated into reports. 30 days 30 people, repeat vs. live portable Apps that refresh with the latest information for immediate insight and decision making.
