Purpose of ESPN To provide support, education, and resources to parents/families of students with disabilities. To develop and nurture stronger working relationships between school staff, parents/families, and other stakeholders. To provide parents/families with a space and opportunity to meet and develop relationships with other parents/families of students with disabilities.

ESE Defined Exceptional Student Education
The specialized education of students with a variety of disabilities and special needs from ages 3-22 years. Each ESE student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that drives his/her specialized education based on his/her individual abilities and needs.

Hillsborough County ESE
Most ESE programs are housed within regular public schools. Each school focuses or specializes in different ESE programs. If a neighborhood school does not have the necessary ESE program for a student, the student will be assigned to the nearest school with the appropriate program. Exceptional Centers provide a more restrictive environment for students with more in depth needs.

Sessums ESE 120 + students with disabilities ESE Specialist
4 Self-Contained teachers 6 Resource teachers (VE) 2 Speech Language Pathologist 9 Paraprofessionals 1.5 Gifted teachers Various Resource teachers: Deaf Hard of Hearing, Visually Impaired, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy

ESE Specialist Jessica Ferguson (Corr) Alicia Fojaco (Sessums)
Supervises the team of ESE Teachers, Paraprofessionals, and Therapists at the school level. Supports all team members with any issues or needs that arise. Communicates information between Area/District ESE Departments and the School. Completes and monitors all documents and paperwork to ensure compliance. Holds Eligibility Staffings for new ESE students.

iPEEPS Intensive Primary Exceptional Ed. Preschool Services
3 Classrooms at Corr 1 Classroom at Sessums Serves students ages 3-5 with a variety of disabilities including Developmentally Delayed, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Language Impaired, Intellectual Disbalilities, Physically Impaired, and Vision Impaired. Focus on Readiness Skills, Social/Emotional Development, Communication, and Independent Functioning Skills.

InD Intellectual Disabilities 5 Classrooms at Corr
3 Classrooms at Sessums Serves students with primary disabilities of Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders. Focus on Academics, Communication, Daily Living, and Social Skills.

VE Varying Exceptionalities 5 Teachers at Corr 6 Teachers at Sessums
Serves students in Regular Education Classrooms with disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Language Impaired. Focus on Academics, Social Skills, and Independent Functioning Skills within a Regular Education classroom.
