2. Start with a word Ideas spring from other ideas so start by doodling!
Look at the example – the designer starts by experimenting with the name
The house shape might suggest building – as in building computer systems
Try and spot how many different ideas have been used
Look at the final design and see where this design originated

3. Refinement of Designs
This sheet of designs represent final ideas which the designer considers the most appropriate
The designer works in black only at this stage
Look back at the first designs to see how these evolved

4. Colour Effect
The designed chooses the four designs that she considers best and adds colour
Which one do you think is best?

5. Final Design Were you right?
Note some of the final changes. These would have been refinements to the final design
