7 Holiday Fundraisers, Period 1
#1 The Helping PAWS Club: members of the Helping PAWS Club will be distributing collection bags to first period classes for our Save the Cheetah Fundraiser. We are asking students to donate spare change or whatever they want to help in this cause. Whatever we raise this month will be doubled by corporate sponsors that contribute to the Cheetah Conservation Fund, a non-profit organization working to save the Cheetah from extinction. The cheetah is Africa’s most endangered big cat. We’ve lost over 90 percent of the world’s population of wild cheetahs in the last 100 years, and if we don’t act today, we could lose the cheetah forever. Our goal is to raise a $1000 so that our school can adopt a Cheetah that is being rehabilitated by the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia, Africa. The race is on to save the cheetah – with your help, we can win it! Please donate Nov. 3 –Dec. 2. #2 Air Force JROTC: Food Drive As we approach the holiday season, Air Force JROTC is collecting food and monetary donations to aid families in need.  Simply bring any canned or other non-perishable food items or monetary donations to your 1st period class any time before November 18th.  JROTC cadets will pick up the donations throughout the week and transport them to the Salvation Army.
