Schenck v. United States, 1919
Charles Schenck published pamphlets (writings) protesting the draft. Schenck was arrested under the Espionage Act. He appealed to Supreme Court because the 1st amendment gives the right of free speech! Supreme court ruled in times of war, the government may limit free speech
