CLIL theory; the 4 C's CLIL: Content & Language Integrated Learning.
Foreign language = vehicle for content learning. How to deal with the limited linguistic level of students: ADAPTING the language used and SCAFFOLDING the learning process (visuals, grids, diagrams, guidance, etc) The 4 C’s: 1- Communication: language. 2- Content: subject matter. 3- Cognition: learning & thinking skills. 4- Culture: social awareness.
3
Aspects to consider Previous knowledge: What do you know?
Language of / for / though learning: What do you need? Scaffolding: Do you need any help? Prediction: What do you think will happen? Observation: Were you right? Result: Can you explain what happened? Experiment: Can you do it now?

Lesson Plan
6
Evaluation Consider how far the content was comprehended and used productively. Consider what language is implied in the teaching-learning process. Example of assessment activities: a) Content: tables/diagrams, T/F activities, gap-filling. b) Language: jigsaw tasks, drawing, drilling in context. Observation grids. Student self-assessment: success criteria / questions.
