DUALSTREAM Advanced Follows the concept of existing Dualstream family - simple, robust, and with corrosion and erosion, hydrates, sand, salinity in mind. IS more sophisticated solution yet small and compact Designed to meet the requirements on accuracy and sensitivity across a wide range of GVF ( cover 99% of Gas condensate field requirements) – work in both oil and water continuous flow AND Reduce the reliance on PVT

Gas Rate from Venturi The DP generated in two phase flow DPTP is larger than the DP that would have been generated in dry gas DPg . A correction is therefore applied.

Project Based Calibration and Validation
Calibration & Validation SINTEF , CEESI, K Lab SWRI & NEL Project Based Calibration and Validation Many meters and algorithms have been calibrated and validated on projects over many years On some projects it is not possible to validate meters in the field particularly on subsea projects

Water Breakthrough Test
Real time detection of water for wet gas applications can provide a great deal of information for the associated MEG injection Inhibitor systems can be costly operations The information generated by a dualstream can be instrumental in adjusting MEG injection flow rates often metered by our seastream flow meters. Minimising the risk associated with the formation of Hydrates which can potentially block flow lines and can severely impact upon production revenue.

Accuracy (Dualstream Advanced against portable test seperator)
Examples of field accuracy This slide displays the comparison between one of our wet gas flowmeters and a portable test separator. There is a debate as to which device is the most accurate, however, more importantly there is good agreement between both sets of data.
17
Accuracy (Dualstream Advanced Comparison with Tracer)
Gas Rate Tracer DS1A Deviation WVF High Flow 1.65sm3/h 1.54sm3/h -0.11sm3/h 0.08% Med Flow 0.90sm3/h 0.84sm3/h -0.07sm3/h 0.07% Low Flow 1.39sm3/h 2.17sm3/h +0.78sm3/h 0.37% Another accuracy comparison of one of our dualstream 1 advanced flowmeters using a Tracer dilution technique. Once again good agreement was observed between the two sets of results across the standard operating envelope of the flowmeter. At a very low gas flow rate the descrepancy increased, but the flowmeter was functioning outside of its operating envelope.

No Nuclear Source It’s a hot topic , Nobody wants to use Nuclear sources if they have a choice Licence Maintenance Recalibration As well as measurement issues Not required to calibrate on fluids in field Not effected by salinity Not effected by drift DO NOT WORK AT HIGH GVF big issues , we have tried
19
Field Maintenance by Operator
No specialist support Simplifies commissioning and SAT - TR DO not want to waste time on un proven solutions Assume TR are into LD’s if meters are late

Reliability… Reliable …6 years on
Our philosophy is and has always been to provide uncomplicated trouble free solutions, which are built to withstand the environment for which they are intended. It’s the same philosophy for topside as well subsea applications, we do not want our meters to require extensive intervention by either the operator or our service team. For example, A 1500m GoM Wet Gas project. The flow meter had been installed for around 6 years without intervention, the well depleted and the meter was retrieved for a potential redeployment on a new well. On inspection the only refurbishment required was to replace cathodic annodes. …6 years on

‘they have been excellent in supporting us since the installation until now. To be honest I have really not need to call them out I just needed some support over the telephone and/or and they have been very responsive’ Jonathan Rodden Senior Instrumentation & Control System Technical Advisor BP Tangguh LNG Operations Engineering Team BP Indonesia
