Acts 1:3 (NIV84) 3 After His (Christ’s) suffering, He showed Himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV84) 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” 10

Because we are able to face all the challenges life throws at us as conquerors!
Because our future is secure and we need not fear death!
Death does not remove us from sharing in His victorious Kingdom! 12

Why is it important to us that Jesus Christ rules the universe from His throne in heaven right now?
Because it is from His throne in heaven that Jesus and the Father send to us His Holy Spirit.
