3. Advances of using Machine Guns and fire arms
Could fire 400 to 600 small caliber rounds per minute, causing as much damage as possible
Since they were able to kill at long range on mass scales they were being successfully used in trench warfare
Soldiers favored them because they were not only affective but also compact
They were small enough to be handled and traveled with making them a key weapon for the war

4. The disadvantages Machine Guns Fire Arms
They were large and bulky so the men that were shooting them had to be stationary
They were impractical because the weight of the ammunition were to heavy to easily handle
Due to their size and power they often over heated
Their shooting range was limited
Their accuracy was just as limited as their shooting range
Because they were compact they used a limited amount of ammunition making them a hassle to have to reload them constantly

5. Importance of Gun Warfare in WWI
Were able to kill from a distance
Machine guns mad it possible to kill in mass amounts
Both used as a defensive and offensive method
Could be used during stalemate (machine guns) and during battle (fire arms)
had a higher percentage of being fatal when used against the enemy
Was a “safe” weapon that some of the other weapons that were being used at the time; like gas bombs

9. How guns Changed the course of WWI
Firearms proved to be quite handy in war due to the fact that they were long range.
Guns were commonly used in trench warfare. The machine gun was stationed just above the trench and delivered devastating blows from afar.
Rifles were more popularly used in the trenches because 15 rounds could be fired in a minute and a person 1,400 meters away could be killed.
Overall, guns changed the course of the war because of their ability to shoot enemies at great speed and far distances.
