4 Favorite Thing The Father/Son Relationship on Display
2 Timothy 1:1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Timothy 2:1-2 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

5 Seven Charges Charge – a task or duty committed to a person.
Sound Doctrine (1 Timothy 1:3-4) Spiritual Warfare (1 Timothy 1:18-20) Sanctified Lifestyle (1 Timothy 5:7) Selfless Serving (1 Timothy 5:21) Separated (1 Timothy 6:13-16) Silver and Substance (1 Timothy 6:17) Seasoned Saint (2 Timothy 4:1-4)

6 Seasoned Saint (2 Timothy 4:1-4)
Instant in season means to be present in time of need or in a well timed manner. Hebrews 5: For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

7 Sound Mind (2 Timothy 1:7) Sound Mind – this means to be disciplined and self-controlled. Acts 17: And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

8 Sound Mind (continued)
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

9 Sound Mind (continued)
Colossians 3:9-11 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

10 Sound Words (2 Timothy 1:13)
The fruit of having a disciplined/sound mind is holding fast to the form of sound words. Proverbs 4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. Proverbs 4:4-6 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. 5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. 6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

11 Sound Words (continue)
Proverbs 4: I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Psalm 1 - Open ya Bibles to it

12 Sound Doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
Sound doctrine - is healthy, uncorrupted instruction from the word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 2 Timothy 2:1-2 2 Timothy 2:24-26
