5 Radon Toolkit: Key Messages
Testing your home is the only way to find out if you have a radon problem. Living in a home with high radon levels increases the risk of lung cancer. Smoking makes radon even more dangerous. Testing your home is the only way to find out if you have a radon problem. Any home can have a radon problem. If you have high radon levels, take action. Living in a home with high radon levels increases the risk of lung cancer. In the United States, radon is the #2 cause of lung cancer after smoking and it is estimated to cause over 20,000 deaths each year. Smoking makes radon even more dangerous.
