1 Setting up REEF: Note to Instructors
This presentation deck outlines the student set up steps if you’re planning to manually export grades to your LMS. Areas marked in RED can be changed to better suit your school’s set up.

2 Setting up REEF: REEF Web
IMPORTANT: Only create and use one REEF account. Creating multiple accounts may result in the loss of grade points. Go to If you've used REEF before, login. If you are new to REEF, click on the "Create a New Account" link.

3 Setting up REEF: REEF mobile app
[Delete this slide if you are not allowing mobile devices in your classroom] If you want to use your mobile device to vote, you can download the mobile app from the Apple or Google app stores.

Select your institution, then enter your information. Please use your university and your [student ID for our LMS]

5 Setting up REEF: If you are using a remote…
[Delete this slide if you are not allowing clickers in your classroom] If you plan to use a clicker, you must register your remote in REEF.

[Delete this slide if you are not allowing clickers in your classroom] Enter the barcode ID number found on the back of your clicker. If you do not have your clicker, you can register it later in your REEF profile.

Go to the courses list and click the "+" button to add a course

8 Setting up REEF: Add this course
Search and select [Your University Name]

9 Setting up REEF: Add this course
Search and select [Instructor Name] or [Course Name]

10 Setting up REEF: Add this course
Confirm this course by clicking "Add this Course"

11 Setting up REEF: Check your Courses list
Our course should be added to your Courses list.

12 Setting up REEF: Join the poll
When our class is in session, hit the “Join” button to participate in the poll.

13 Setting up REEF: Session History
[Delete this slide if you are not allowing session history screen captures] The session history will capture the questions and your vote from class. You can use this as a study guide.

14 Setting up REEF: Subscription Expired
After 14 days, your free trial will expire and you'll need to purchase a subscription. You can pay online or using Apple or Google in-app purchasing. You can also purchase an access code from your bookstore if available. A subscription is optional if you are using a clicker.

15 Setting up REEF: Access Codes
[Delete this slide if you are not allowing clickers in your classroom] If you purchased a clicker and received an access code card, this gives you 6 months of subscription.
