3. The Beginning Christian Ministry

In 1992
Urban Vision started out with helping children, but in no time Urban Vision turned into a family place.

5. What is it?
Urban Vision has many programs that help out children and their families
SOS Program
SOS -Set on Success
After school enrichment program
For children K -8th Grade
Help with homework and other school activities as well as feeding them dinner and playing games
Adult English Classes
Help adults gain better English skills
With better English skills, many adults have the opportunity of getting better jobs

7. Stores and Camps Christmas Store: Golf Outing:
Children earn points all throughout the year
Earn points by doing homework, helping out, etc.
Points are like money
During Christmas time, the children can use these points and buy presents for their family
For Sponsors of Urban Vision
Come out and eat lunch and golf
Make donations towards Urban Vision
All of the donations go toward helping the families

8. Volunteer Options Many people volunteer to help at Urban Vision
My youth group volunteered their in 2009
We cleaned their building and moved furniture
Other churches like the Christian Community Chapel volunteer
Urban Vision is always looking for volunteers and will gladly accept help
If you would like to volunteer then you can go to their website and click on volunteer opportunities

9. Summary Urban Vision started in 1992 and is still going on
Urban Vision is a ministry that offers programs for families in Akron
