Financing with share as grant < R10 million = 30% > R10 million = 20% Additional 10% possible if: Increases employment at least 25% Achieve B-BBEE level 1 Located in area with unemployment > 25% Local procurement >=70% equipment and machinery

Requirements Agri-processing Food & bev, furniture, fibre processing, feed production and fertiliser production BEE (level 1 - 4) 50% inputs (raw material) from SA & At least 30% sourced black SA suppliers (or motivation including how will source 30% in 2 years time) Start 90 days after approval Eligibility Submit 3 year business plan and financials Existing entities submit financials (less than 18 months old) Can not decrease employment for 12 months before or duration of incentive Minimum investment size R1 million

Money used for Equipment and machinery - including vehicles (max 25%) and buildings (R2 mil max)) NOT - land, wages, passenger vehicles, VAT & fin charges, cost already incurred, increased cost due to exchange fluctuations Payment 6 months from approval. no claim = termination pay direct approved entity change in activity = termination

The Programme also offers non-financial support to qualifying businesses in order to: prepare businesses to access market opportunities); expand and grow existing operations with the aim of contributing to job creation; and enhance productivity and competitiveness. Through: focused business development support services: full business diagnostic implementation strategy implementation of agreed upon interventions.

9 DEDAT – Agri-processing Supplier Development Programme
Application Criteria: Trading for a minimum of eighteen (18) months. Operating in the agri-processing sector and its associated value chains Preference given to businesses in the Halal market Based in the Western Cape. A small, medium enterprise (SME) Involved in the full-time operations and management of the entity.
