2 Abide: To follow or tolerate
“If it be found so, some will dear abide it.”

3 Appeased: Satisfied, pleased
“Only be patient till we have appeased The multitude, beside themselves with fear, And then we will deliver you the cause, Why I, that did love Caesar when I struck him, Have thus proceeded.”

4 Apprehensive: Fearful, doubtful
“Tis furnished well with men, And men are flesh and blood, and apprehensive, Yet in the number I do know but one That unassailable holds on his rank, Unshaked of motion.”

5 Banished: Exiled, thrown out
“Is there no voice more worthy than my own To sound more sweetly in great Caesar’s ear For the repealing of my banished brother?”

6 Base: Raw, vulgar “ I mean sweet words,
Low crooked court'sies and base spaniel-fawning.”

7 Coffers: Chests or boxes used for keeping valuables
“He hath brought many captives home to Rome. Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill.”

8 Compel: To drive forward
You will compel me then to read the will”

9 Consent: To give permission, allow
“You know not what you do. Do not consent That Antony speak in his funeral.”

10 Conspirator: One who conspires, plots against

11 Ingratitude: Failure to show or express thanks
“For when the noble Caesar saw him stab, Ingratitude, more strong than traitors' arms, quite vanquished him.

12 Legacy: Money or property used in a will, reputation
“Yea, beg a hair of him for memory, And, dying, mention it within their wills, Bequeathing it as a rich legacy Unto their issue.”

13 Malice: Spitefulness, showing evil
“Our arms in strength of malice and our hearts Of brothers' temper do receive you in With all kind love, good thoughts, and reverence.”

14 Repeal: To recall from exile

19 Mantle: A sleeveless cloak or cape
