18 Why we love it here We moved to Burnett Avenue when we first came to Canada from Norway, and little did we know how lucky we were in regards to location. The home is close to everything we need. Yonge street is just a short walk away where we enjoy dining at different restaurants. Being cold Norwegians we truly enjoy when the warmer weather allows us to dine at some of the many restaurant patios close by. Our sons also enjoy having everything close, and pop by Yonge to catch a movie, meet friends at the coffee bars or go skating at Mel Lastman Square. Getting around town is so important for us, and being close to both 401 and the Subway is just perfect. We have two boys who play hockey, and the 401 enable us to be at any rink in the city within 25 minutes if the traffic is moving well. Downtown is also just 25 mins away on the Subway. We also love the quiet street, and the boys are always out in the street playing basketball, street hockey or exercising. We have been so extremely fortunate to have found this wonderful family home in such an ideal central location.
