2. Seder Meal Tonight, March 20, 6:00 pm
A reminder to those with reservations that tonight is the Seder meal at UCC church.
Please place your ticket fee in the offering this morning and make sure that you indicate its for the Seder Meal.

3. Men’s Group 5:00 pm – Phoenix Middle School
All men are invited to meet for an all-you-can-eat soup supper. Cost is $5.00.
After supper, we will return to church to finish Tony Dungee video study.

4. Blessings In A Back Pack
Thursday, March 24, 1:00 pm.
Our ministry team will gather at Turtle Creek Elementary School to pack bags of food items for needy children.
The peanut butter that we have been collecting will be distributed this week.

7. Sermon Notes
The gospel writer Luke is the only person to tell us that Jesus was grieving as he entered into the city of Jerusalem.
Like Jesus we too know of grief. We grieve when a loved one dies, we grieve when we lose a job or an opportunity for advancement.
Any time we experience a change in a steady state we experience grief.

8. Depending on the change, our grief might last a day or many months.
So what do we do with the emotions associated with grief? We follow Jesus lead and ride on.
It’s tempting to allow the emotions of grief derail you. But if that happens we now have another issue to deal with.
So its best to press on, but as we press on we work through with our emotions rather than suppress them.

9. When we are struggling with grief it is wise to draw close to God through pray, and scripture. It also wise to draw close to family and friends.
As we press on we also discover hope.
Jesus discovered a lot of hope as he pressed on toward the cross.
He found hope in a woman who gave all that she had in her temple offering.
He found hope in a woman who anointed him with costly oil.

10. Even on the cross, Jesus saw hope in a thief who saw him to be the Messiah.
When we press on in our grief, like Jesus we too will see signs of hope.
So step into the light of God’s grace and press on knowing that with God our hearts will beat again.
