CHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT

Some Insights into Our Schools and Community
3
DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
Highest enrollment of 1,457 was in the school year and is projected to decline to 863 students in This is consistent with the demographics in the surrounding region. There is little development planned in the near future and there is limited space for future development in either Township or Borough. Home sales have been slow and there are fewer families with school age children. This slow development is expected to continue. Chester district has seen a recent increase in families receiving free and reduced lunch benefits and the district is now Title 1 benefits. Source: CAFRA SY2016
