1 InterVarsity USA is an campus ministry that serves students and faculty on college and university campuses nationwide. Our vision is to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed and worldchangers developed.

2 COLLEGE an opportunity to grow as much spiritually as academically
In college, students grow socially and academically but we want to see them grow spiritually as well. We want to help students discover their passions and gifts then use them to impact the world. We want to help students find answers to their spiritual questions. COLLEGE an opportunity to grow as much spiritually as academically

3 According to LifeWay Research and USA Today, 70 percent of people between the ages leave the church! Students get pulled in all different directions in college. They encounter a sea of ideas, beliefs, and options and often their faith takes a backburner to the choices swirling around them. LOST in a sea of options

4 A Story of Growth Business student/ entrepreneur
Women’s small group leader Wants to use talents and skills to to empower victimized women Narae grew up in the church. She was fairly shy and timid and found it hard to find her place amidst the 30,000 students in college with her. When she began attending InterVarsity events she encountered a community who truly loved and followed Jesus. She learned more about Him than she had ever before. She also began learning about the injustices done to women throughout the world. She felt God giving her a passion for those who are victimized, abused, and hurting. Being a business major gave her the skills and talents needed to strategically plan the best ways to help victimized women. Upon graduating, she plans to use these skills and passions to work with those involved in the sex trafficking industry.

5 A Story of Hope… Atheist plagued by depression and suicidal thoughts
Nathan was an Atheist student who I met while doing interactive on-campus evangelism. He opened up to me about his disbelief in God, his struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts, and his lack of deep friendships. I connected him with other students in the ministry and he instantly found a place of complete acceptance. He said that he had found community for the first time in his life. As he opened up about his past and his struggles to the group, he was continually met with compassion and support. He began going to my small group bible study in a dorm on campus and found a place where he could ask questions about Christianity openly and freely. He became the most faithful attendee of the bible study, even inviting friends to several studies. Later, he began to attend church with me and several other InterVarsity students. He began to open up to the idea of God and is currently on a journey of exploring spirituality and considering Jesus as Lord. Atheist plagued by depression and suicidal thoughts Found community with InterVarsity at Georgia State Currently exploring the possibility of Jesus

6 Our Story We both joined InterVarsity freshman year
She and I moved back into underclassmen dorms as seniors We are planting an InterVarsity chapter at Georgia Tech together After seeing our lives changed as well as the lives of our friends and classmates, my staff partner, Emmie, and I decided to give our lives to this mission. We are starting a brand new InterVarsity chapter at Georgia Tech. We long to see students transformed by God, the Georgia Tech campus renewed, and the city of Atlanta changed as a result of our students encountering Jesus.

9 Starting Something New
We have been on campus full-time for a month now! We have met more than 350 students and 100 of them have signed up to get involved! We have hosted a bible study on campus that called students to follow Jesus, we have trained students on how to share their faith on-campus, and we have already seen a student recommit their life to Christ! It is only the beginning but it is CLEAR that students are spiritually hungry and that Jesus is working at GT!

10 Our Plan Creatively engage the campus Reach out to interested students
Equip students to do mission on campus, in the community, and the world around them Teach students to use their talents and passions to bring about social justice and change We have a strategic plan to see our mission come to pass. We will creatively engage the campus and reach out to interested students. Then, we will focus on establishing authentic community and equipping students to do mission on campus, in the community, and in the world. We will teach students to use their talents and passions to bring about social justice and change in the community. We want the world to be impacted because students have fully given their lives to God and seek to bring the kingdom of God to the world around them. We do this through providing bible studies, missions projects, conferences, mentoring, campus evangelism, leadership training, community service, spiritual formation, multiethnic ministry, one-on-one student discipleship, and large group worship and teaching.
