4 PRODUCT RANGE Our roots were firmly established as being a supplier of high quality sealing devices for virtually all sealing applications, as such our knowledge and development of many associated materials and the technology to convert in to precision working parts remains progressive. This development sees SEP today supplying major end user and OEM clients within Aerospace, Defence, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Food & Drink and Marine. Trust in our ability to assist with design and product development shows many of these clients now using our services in a limitless, specialised range of engineered parts, beyond those just associated with sealing components.

SEP have the moulding and extruding process knowledge and technology to support ALL designs with performance related lifetime testing for rubber static, dynamic and inflatable seals in Silicone, Fluorosilicone, EPDM, HNBR and Viton in varying high tear strength grades. 'Cleanroom' manufacturing, climate controlled rubber compound storage & post cure ovens with traceable data logging. Fully compliant with all expected manufacturing and procedural control to FDA 21CFR and USP Class VI with the additional options for anti-microbial grades to JIS Z 2801:2010 (equivalent to ISO 22196:2007) inhibiting the growth of strains of MRSA, E.coli and Salmonella. Our commitment to continuous improvement has taught us, if there is one outstanding lesson, it is the earlier a designer involves us, the greater the benefits in terms of cost, design effectiveness and ease of production.

COMPRESSION RUBBER MOULDING Precision rubber mouldings from ALL natural and synthetic rubbers to ANY specification - including HNBR, Viton, Nitrile & EPDM. CLEAN WHITES Attention to detail in material preparation and handling and a clean room environment produces mouldings crisp in colour and free of contaminants, perfect for applications within industries such as Food & Drink, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace. MOULD TOOLS & STORAGE Rubber moulding tooling is a costly investment which we take seriously on your behalf, through design and manufacture to thoughtful storage. Our commitment to continuous improvement has taught us, if there is one outstanding lesson, it is the earlier a designer involves us, the greater the benefits in terms of cost, design effectiveness and ease of production. New industry approved metal detectable rubbers are now available from stock. Particular attention to detail plays a vital role in the manufacture of extruded sections and profiles, with various applications demanding different tolerance control. SEP takes a keen interest in the intended use of products to ensure that they are always suitable in terms of dimensional stability, hardness, colour matching where required, and that the most reliable rubber is used. An almost infinite range of sections can be produced in most grades of rubber i.e. food grades (FDA), high and low temperature capabilities and compounds resistant to known medium. Our inflatable seals are used in a wide array of industries including Offshore, Marine, Pharmaceutical and Food & Drink. You will also find them widely used across the Aerospace, Nuclear & Defence divisions.

The inflatable seals manufactured by SEP are designed to provide a clean, time saving solution to hermetic sealing against, powders, granules, gases, liquids and dust. These seals are most useful to seal fabricated pieces of equipment where: - the sealing gap may vary - fast efficient assembly and disassembly is required - hygienic procedures exist (FDA applications) Generally working from within a given groove size the seals can operate axially, radially inward or radially outward. All seals are supplied with a suitable inflation connector, selected to accommodate any restrictions associated with the equipment or customer preference. Our inflatable seals are used in a wide array of industries including Offshore, Marine, Pharmaceutical and Food & Drink. You will also find them widely used across the Aerospace, Nuclear & Defence divisions.

SEP utilise a high pressure ‘Shot Moulding’ technique, which injects an identical compound at the join forming a high strength bond, with a clean smooth line finish. No additives or adhesives form part of the bond. This process provides the seal with an ability to work under higher pressures than most if not all other similar type seals in the market. PNEUMATIC LIFE CYCLE SEAL TESTING ALL of our Inflatable Rubber Seal designs and manufacturing methods receive life cycle fatigue testing at various pressures and inflation heights, from long term inflated static to repeated inflation and deflation cycles ranging from 5,000 to 50,000. These tests on free standing, unsupported seals vary from 1 bar to 4 bar pressure, dependent on the profile type and/or customer specification. Our inflatable seals are used in a wide array of industries including Offshore, Marine, Pharmaceutical and Food & Drink. You will also find them widely used across the Aerospace, Nuclear & Defence divisions.
