Choose one of the following topics to study before, during and after we are in Japan. You must:
Collect background information about the topic in English.
Take pictures while you are in Japan.
Interview at least one Japanese person about the topic. (for upper levels)
If applicable, collect a souvenir showing the topic.
Put together a PowerPoint, Prezi, or Glogstser about the topic to share on our wikispaces site.

Animals in Japan
What animals are native to Japan? What animals are typically pets? How are animals regarded in
Japan? What animals did you encounter on your trip? How are they special?
Old and New in Japan
How does Japan combine its’ ancient history with modern technology? What are examples of this? Can you show examples of this through pictures from Japan? What types of old and new things did you most notice? What does this say about Japan?
