2 High School and A-G requirements
What courses/credits are needed to graduate from high school? What courses/credits are needed for college admissions? Please see your student’s planner, pgs.-9-11, for both High School and A-G requirements. Have a strong academic year!

3 Community Service Requirement
AS part of graduation requirements, seniors must perform a minimum of 8 hours of Community Service. Juniors must complete a minimum of 8 hours each year. Service is described as: Not graded, off campus and not during school hours The community service activity form can found on the THS website and can be downloaded.

Take practice tests early to know where you may need help Colleges accept both ACT with Writing and the SAT Reasoning Test and will take your highest test score from a single test date Academic Challenges: Rigor of course schedule College courses

Meet provisions of admission File FAFSA: Watch for FAFSA workshop in Jan or Feb. Apply for scholarships Nov. 1 – 30 Application Fall filing period Jan. 1 – March 2 File FAFSA: March 1 – 30 College Admissions notifications (posted online) by May 1 Students must opt-in to waitlists Submit Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by July 1 Official high school and college records due

7 ACT Testing Dates Register Online for the ACT: www.actstudent.org
Test Date - Register By September 21, August 23, 2013 October 26, September 27, 2013 December 14, November 8, 2013 February 8, January 10, 2014 April 12, March 7, 2014 June 14, May 9, 2014 Register Online for the ACT: Regular Registration $36.50 (no writing) or $52.50 (with writing) Fee Waivers are available for those who qualify.

8 SAT testing Dates Register Online for the SAT:
Test Date Register By October 5, September 6, 2013 November 2, October 3, 2013 December 7, November 8, 2013 January 25, December 27, 2013 March 8, February 7, 2014 May 3, April 4, 2014 June 7, May 9, 2014 Register Online for the SAT: Regular Registration $ Fee waivers are available for those who qualify.

Graduation: June 14, 2014: 11 am, THS Transcripts: You will need to order from Parchment.com: All orders are electronic. See link on THS website. Cap and Gowns: Order from Balfour (they will be at school periodically to sell) 1st night Tuesday, Sept . 24th (Back to School Night) Makeup yearbook pictures: September 26th, must do for ID cards Senior Picture Makeups: Must call for a Lifetouch appointment, , Citrus Heights Baby pictures for yearbook: Monday, September 30, 2013, by 3:00pm in RM 201
