Phage therapeutics were in active development in early 1900s, but the ‘west’ moved away from them with discovery of antibiotics. Useful for Persistent infections (eg. Lung infections in cystic fibrosis patients) Antibiotic resistant bacteria (eg. MRSA) Food safety (eg.
