1 Motivational Speech Video
Requirements on how to make a successful video

2 Making your Motivational “speech”
Choose a Motivational Topic – Make sure your message is identifiable with the audience. Keep your message relevant and timely – you should fill a minimum of 4 minutes or more by speaking. Write out your speech first and practice speaking it! – your speech must use a wide range of vocabulary words and should be at a b2 level. This speech will be graded on its English content and use of vocabulary words… You must use voice inflection, pitch, pace, intonation, and dynamics while giving your speech – your speech should sound like you are preaching or like you are intimately passionate with your topic! You must be inspiring, also emotional by appealing to your audience for your “call to action”.

3 Making your Motivational “speech”
Be sure to practice speaking your speech! If your speech sounds like you are reading it then you will lose 20% of the grade. This speech should be spoken, not read… You do not have to hand in your written speech; however, your voice must be clear and concise in the video.

4 Making your Motivational speech “video”
Choose a software program that will help you make a successful mp4 video – i.e. audacity, adobe primere, sony vegas, windows movie maker, etc… You must accompany your speech with images that matches the context of what you are talking about. You must use a minimum of 25 images or more! Try to include a video as well… You must reference everything you use for this video…everything!! (respect copyright)

5 Making your Motivational speech “video”
Your video should have a title at the beginning, and credit roll at the end. Include a personalized quote at the end of your speech that summarizes it. You should include background music in order to give effect to your speech. The music must be without lyrics. When actually recording your voice, make sure you are in an area that can reduce background noise. Be sure to edit your video to give it a feel of depth and professionalism.

6 Making your Motivational speech “video”
Make sure that the music you use corresponds to the tone of your speech, i.e. if your speech is serious, then have music that projects the seriousness of your speech. If your speech is comical, then have music that is more upbeat and delightful. Convert your final video to mp4 and have it ready for viewing on April 21st, 2017.
