What are fixed assets? What is the reason for having a dedicated fixed assets module in Dynamics AX? So how do we account for Fixed assets? Current (Cash, A/R, Prepaid expenses, Inventory) vs. Fixed (Buildings, Machinery, Computers, Cars, Copyrights/Trademarks as Intangible Assets).

General Ledger - Achieved through setup of Fixed Asset Posting Profiles Procurement and Sourcing - Assigned on the PO line with the Fixed Asset number, Value Model, and Asset Transaction Type Inventory Management - Achieved through the Inventory to Fixed Assets journal. Accounts Payable - Assigned when you enter the invoice in an invoice journal or vendor invoice. Accounts Receivable – Assigned on Free text invoices via the Fixed asset number and Value model. Projects – You can eliminate a project to a fixed asset. Not showing Project – just describe that it can integrate.
