5 WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A VENUE THE SITE VISIT
Initial impression (gathering information via website, and/or phone) Location First in-person impression (how do they welcome you?) Parking & coat check (wheelchair entrance) B&G / Wedding Party arrival / Green Room or Bridal Suite availability Ceremony option onsite (all things ceremony) Separate space for cocktail hour (all things cocktail hour) Size / capacity for dining (seated vs. reception) Staff to guest ratio (seated vs. reception) - what is the norm? Standard service timing (how long does dinner take?) Venue Rep over-all presentation, preparedness, feeling…the site-visit!! Floor Plan, sample cost estimate, pricing package, etc. Follow-up by venue rep Create a pro & con list Think of the day in chronologic order (assists you in ensuring everything is covered)
