3 Why are morphemes important???
These meaningful word parts are the building blocks for academic vocabulary that you will encounter in all of your classes. Knowing morphemes will help you to decipher the meaning for new words in all of your classes.

If we break chlorophyll down to its morphemes we can come up with pretty good definition ‘Chloro’ mean green ‘phyl means leaf

7 You try… Write down the list of words on your own paper. One piece of paper per group.
