I can determine the main ideas of the introduction to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by reading closely.

Today we are going to read the introduction of the UDHR. The introduction is the first part of a document that sets up many of the main ideas. Let’s start with the first paragraph. As I read, underline any words or phrases that you think are important to understand the meaning of this first sentence.
