1998 onwards – development of a range of projects with the Thames Valley Police. Partnership working at Local Strategic Partnership Level Strategic Commitment to the region and to community Engagement (Brookes) Engagement with student population and wider community (TVP) 2000 – increased growth of collaborative working with the Police through membership of Oxford and wider Thames Valley area through broad social and policy interventions – DAATs, Single Regeneration Board, Communities Against Drugs, Crime and Disorder Audits, Health and Social Inclusion initiatives Neighbourhood Policing approaches to local and area policing (ACPO/Centrex, 2006, Innes 2005, Johnston, 2005, Maguire and John, 2006, Tuffin et al., 2006) the expectation of and opportunities provided by increased partnership working across different agencies and institutions greater development of community engagement by public organisations (Home Office, 2005, McIlrath and Mac Labhrainn, 2007, MyHill, 2006) Community Based Research Projects.
