4 Different Traffic Management Techniques
Service/user differentiation for congestion management Strategies for mobile data traffic offloading IP flow mobility for future wireless networks Virtualization techniques for efficient network sharing

5 New Approaches in MTM Deep packet inspection:
Is an advanced method of packet filtering that functions at the Application Layer of the OSI reference model. Innovation of protocols : When increase in real time network demand we need new innovation called lightweight UDP protocols.

6 Virtualization: Operators will seek practical implementations of on-demand allocation of real-time service chains and dynamic resource allocation. Video and encryption: Current network management with upgrades to support new technology In some parts of the world, 60% of traffic on mobile network is encrypted and it will reach 80% . Inflexible data services: Inflexible billing and management.

7 Traffic Shaping This technique is used to optimize or guarantee the network performance. Application based traffic shaping Route based traffic shaping

8 Bandwidth Management Issues
In the present days some end users who consume inordinate bandwidth and unexpected rise in demand from these users forced service providers to introduce network congestion and traffic management practices. Bandwidth Usage: Cable, DSL and Fiber

9

10 Realistic service definitions and acceptable-use policies
The bandwidth congestion would not be so bad if the service providers were transparent and truthful in their service offerings. The actual speed expectations were never specified Technical problems in the residential broadband market Users who don't conform to expectations. Peer-to-peer applications Video streaming affects other applications Undesired applications tend to be obfuscated and encrypted

11 NEUTRAL MANAGEMENT WITH LTE TECHNOLOGY
Application-Agnostic prioritization in moderate congestion The “throttle” capacity. Prioritization of like applications with like prioritization in severe congestion Quality of Service(QoS) Increase in congestion, latency sensitive and bandwidth

12 Steps to implement in the proposed approach
Initiate a set of QoS profiles The wireless network as an operator an application that should be placed in one of the profiles and receive QoS. The active user device identifies itself to the edge providers default connection and operates application via network. The edge provider authenticates the user device to use the application. The wireless carrier sets up QoS between the user device and the Internet.

13 Challenges: Today mobile broadband is being consumed at ever greater rates. Because of this higher priority we need better solutions that optimize the mobile bandwidth. Service providers responsible for congestion of services like streaming video, audio..etc

14 Conclusion: The LTE technology is capable of managing congestion through prioritization protocols. When with severe congestion , prioritize latency-sensitive while avoiding discrimination among applications, content or services.
