Jesus is the one true God, above all gods! The God who demonstrated His superiority to the gods of Egypt is embodied in the Person of Jesus Christ. He is above all gods because His claims are higher, His fame is Higher, His aim for man is higher and His name is higher.

2. Consider the Lord’s Victory “Against all the gods of Egypt”
The Lord is greater than all the gods (Exodus 12:12; 18:10-11)
He alone is worthy of fear and reverence (2 Kings 17: 36-38)
He is above all gods! (Psalm 95:3)

3. Jesus is “God with Us”
God sent His Son so that we may know the God whom we’re to serve! (Galatians 4:4-9)
Jesus is God in the flesh (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:22-23)
He declares God to us! (John 1:18)
The fullness of God dwells in Him (Colossians 2:9)

His Claims are Higher
Creator of all (1 Corinthians 8:5-6)
Sustainer of all (Colossians 1:16-19)
Purpose for all (Colossians 1:16b)
Judge of all (John 5:22-23; Acts 17:30-31)
Knowledge of future (Matthew 24; Isaiah 41:21-26; 46:9-10)

His Fame is Higher
Even other religions acknowledge Jesus (John 14:6)
No god is more exalted among the nations than Jesus! (Psalms 86:8-10; 97:9; John 10:30)

6. Jesus is above all gods because…
His Aim is Higher
Most gods are capricious, changeable, and not wholly devoted to man’s welfare.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
He gave Himself to save mankind. (Mark 10:45)
His sacrifice triumphs over “principalities and powers” (Colossians 2:13-15; Eph. 6:12; Deut. 32:17)

7. Jesus is above all gods because…
His Name is Higher
It is exalted by His resurrection. (Romans 1:1-4; Ephesians 1:20-21)
Every tongue should confess it. (Philippians 2:8-11)
It alone has the power to save (Acts 4:12)
