2. What is a peer review assignment in Canvas?
Peer review assignments enable students to comment on submitted assignments. It is a tool that allows communication between students.
Instructors can create peer reviews for their students to complete.
Note: Peer reviews are not anonymous.

3. Create a Peer Review Assignment
Click the Add Assignment button to create a new assignment
In the Submission Type drop-down menu Select Online
Click the Require Peer Reviews checkbox
Note: Only online submission types are supported for peer review assignments

4. Automatically Assign Peer Review
If you atomically assign peer reviews, the menu will expand.
Determine the Reviews Per User and type that number into the field.
In the Assign Reviews field use the calendar icon or manually enter in the date students should submit their peer review by.
Note: If automatically assigning, the reviews date must come after the assignment due date. If left blank, Canvas will use the assignment due date as the peer review date.

5. Manually Assign Peer Reviews
Once you select the radio bubble to manually assign:
Click the Peer Reviews link under related items
Click the Add icon to manually assign the peer review
Use Select Student drop-down menu to assign a submission
When students complete the review their will be a checkmark next to their name.
Disclaimers:
Students cannot review themselves
When manually assigning, students can complete their assigned review without having to submit their own assignment first.

6. How Students View Reviews
Option 1:
Peer review will display under the students assignment To Do list
Option 2:
Peer review will display under the students assignment submission
