3. A man’s self must continually make choices amidst the numerous messages that he receives from within himself. There are many parts of his life, both internal and external that compete for his attention. The amount of time he chooses to invest in each of life’s many options determines the outcome of his life. That which a man gives his time and energy will strengthen and define him; that which is not given time and attention will tend to wither. A man chooses how his time is spent.

Is a limited resource.
Can be invested in either a right or a wrong way.
Must be spent wisely, to fully actualize God’s call.
Can be used to determine the content of his tomorrows.
Restraints should cause him to work smarter, not harder.

That is used wisely can be used for refueling and reflection.
Should be prioritized in order to achieve one’s goals.
Reflects his values, depending on how it is spent.
Influences others, as choices are made regarding the ways that time is spent.

6. The mind’s warrior understands that time:
Should not be used to aim for “good,” when the goal that defines success is to be the best.
Requires the expenditure of energy, perseverance, and focus in order to be spent well.
Must be considered when deciding if and when to confront.

7. The mind’s warrior understands that time:
Can be withdrawn, as a way to set boundaries with someone who is a negative influence.
Should be spent fighting for the needs of others.
Can increase in its value with careful planning.

8. The mind’s warrior understands that time:
Can be expanded, if a man chooses to physically take care of himself.
Is managed better with self-discipline.
Is maximized through sweat equity and hard work.
Can motivate accomplishment, if its limitations are recognized.

9. The mind’s lover uses time and LARGE CARE to:
Listen beyond a person’s words and feel what he/she is saying.
Give focused Attention and create positive experiences.
Respect, appreciate, and learn from the differences in each other.
Genuinely express his true self in an honest way.

10. The mind’s lover uses time and LARGE CARE to:
Expend Energy in developing relationships with those whom he loves.
Communicate clearly, so that others can understand his viewpoint.
Appropriately display Affection toward those whom he cares about.
Follow through on his Responsibilities to prepare and care for others.

11. The mind’s lover uses time and LARGE CARE to:
Empathically respond with understanding to the other person’s perspective.
