6 tutoring Tutoring is prearranged
I am available for tutoring in the mornings at 8:00. I will usually write the student a pass, however; you can write a pass if needed. Usually tutoring is for a retest of a failing major grade.

8 Homework EACH WEEK Students are asked to read 3 Newsela articles and pass 3 quizzes with a minimum score of 75. If the quiz is below a 75 the student should lower the Lexile score and retake the quiz. This homework is due usually on Fridays. The articles are all non-fiction, and for now, they can choose what they want to read. Soon I will be assigning articles that align with the TEKS we are teaching. Please adjust the reading time around your family’s schedule.

9 technology Our district provides your student with two great programs – Learning Ally and Newsela. Your child is encouraged to access these sites from home. Ear buds are allowed and encouraged at school. Please charge computers each night!

10 We are in this together Please do not hesitate to me if you have a concern.

11 Words of encouragement
This is a big year for your child (and YOU)! Please keep in mind that learning in your home is equally as important as learning at school. Your support makes this happen!
