SCM Cycle is a famous cycle manufacturing industry in US. They are well known with the high quality of cycles. They only produce one type of cycle (BTX-1101) and the cycles are distributed on limited basis.
The company is planning the production for next year. The questions that arise when plan an production and planning model are as follows:
To forecast the production system using appropriate method
To find the optimal total cost of production and planning system

3. Information
BTX-1101 manufactured in a period are ready for use in that period
BTX-1101 accrue no holding costs if consumed in same month they are produced, but accrue for future months.
SCM Cycle currenly consider 3 suppliers, the criteria to choose the supplier is as this follows:
Quality
Delivery
Production capability
Service
Engineering
Business structure
etc.

4. Objectives
Choose which one of the supplier that perfectly match with SCMCycle’s criteria
Forecast the demand using the historical sales data
Find the optimal production plan for BTX-1101
Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
